Teresa SohoniTeresa grew up in Southern California, where she currently resides with her husband and two children. She enjoys running, hiking and spending time with her family. Upon retiring from her athletic career, Teresa pursued this interest by studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at South Baylo University where she received her B.S and M.S in Holistic and Eastern Medicine in 2001. Teresa is licensed by the State of California Acupuncture Board and NCCAOM, Diplomate of Acupuncture. She has continued her education by studying herbal medicine under Donald Yance, light therapy techniques under Charles McWilliams using Jade system. Teresa received her bachelors degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Arizona State University in 1990. She went on to pursue a professional career in distance running, where she competed for Reebok Racing Team from 1990-1996, Universtiry of Stellenbosch, South Africa 1996-1997 and then Asics Racing Team from 1997-1999. She was a three time Olympic Trials Qualifier and two time All American in track. During these years Teresa became highly attuned to the workings of her body, and how to attain peak performance through maintaining optimal health. Teresa Sohoni brings a holistic approach to her practice, utilizing various techniques, methods and compassion to achieve results for her clients. Teresa’s professional expertise and interests include treating injuries, promoting peak athletic performance, cancer treatment and management, immune enhancements, healthy eating, and promoting detoxification within the body.
